Although located in severe cold region, the temperature of Harbin in summer has been rising in recent years due to global warming and classroom's thermal environment is no longer conducive to students' health and learning. In order to improve classroom's thermal environment, one classroom in Harbin was analyzed in summer. The result showed that indoor temperature were slightly higher during the experiment, and the thermal environment was partitioned, the window area had the highest temperature (up to 30.6℃), much higher than the door area (up to 0.7℃). The thermal sensation of indoor staff was also partitioned, the window area had the highest thermal sensation(MSTV=2.6)while the door area has the lowest (MTSV=1.8). Improvement strategies were proposed: (1) adjustable external sunshade components should be installed; (2) natural ventilation can be used; (3) reasonably plan the location of indoor working area.
